Each 24 carat gold leafed square is fixed with a diamond, and the wire that holds each is balled at the back so that the individual squares move slightly, re-forming themselves and catching the light in different ways. In a still photograph the diamonds do not sparkle, but in reality they do.
They could be altered to clip-on earrings.
