An open seedpod with pearl seeds inside secured with 9 carat gold wire. The silver shape is gilded using a heavy layer of 24 carat gold using the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. The earrings also look beautiful from the back with their rich golden color. I used 9 carat, rather than 18 carat gold, for the earring hooks because the colour is better suited to 24 carat gold.
