I had been looking at some 19th-century photographs of flowers and I wanted to try and get the same feeling into this pendant piece – the continuing beauty of a flower even when it is past its prime. I have used heat oxidised ‘weeds’ and then more weeds made from white and yellow gold which will not oxidise. Everything is mobile but the larger weeds are more so.
