Thimbles are one of the most common finds, along with buckles. It seems that even the tiniest child would have a thimble and the sizes vary hugely. Here are two small bronze thimbles, one very small, returned to a landscape of silver weeds and set with green gold. The ring shanks are 18 carat gold.
